I don’t remember much about my childhood, whether I loved playing with water or not, but I do remember running around whenever it rained. A photo of me back then would probably be embarrassing—at least, no one has one.
Years passed, and I didn’t realize I truly loved rain. All I knew was that whenever it poured, I would find myself staring out the window—watching the wind, leaves giving way, trees waving, raindrops dancing. I’d even taste the water, stretch out my hand at a public gathering just to feel the drops, controlling myself even as an adult, but still wanting to experience it.
One day, I stumbled upon the word pluviophile—a lover of rain. I searched for a community online, but everything I found was scattered: a thread here, a small blog there… pluviophiles scattered like raindrops in the wind. That’s when I thought: why not create a space for us?
And so, Pluviophiles.cloud was born—a rain-themed platform covering all things rain, a community to share poems, stories, experiences, and the joy of rain. I hope you enjoy it, and I encourage you to submit, engage, and help keep this exclusive corner of the internet alive, for all pluviophiles.
I say;
If the sound of raindrops on the roof feels like music, if gray skies calm your mind more than sunshine ever could, you’re in the right place. This space was made for pluviophiles — the people who find peace, inspiration, and joy in the rain.
Here, we celebrate everything about rainy days — from the cozy moments indoors with a warm drink to the smell of wet earth after the first drizzle. We share stories, photos, thoughts, and little pieces of calm that remind us why the rain feels like home.
Whether you love walking in the rain, writing to its rhythm, or just sitting by the window watching it fall — you belong here.
So grab your favorite sweater, make yourself something warm, and stay awhile.
Because when it rains, we come alive.
